"What I liked about this book was that it really does offer parents a "practical" guide to parenting. It's a down-to-earth approach to raising children that considers each child as individual rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach to children. I've found with my son the "normal" ways of raising a child just oftentimes don't work, he's a loud, energetic and inquisitive child with ADHD that needs a different approach... and so I am always looking for insight in how best to help him grow up as well adjusted and properly raised as possible. Brian Sheets and his wife's flexible style of parenting was a great insight for me into just how to incorporate their unique style and successes into my own parenting style. I found the book to be well written, easy to understand and above all, a helpful aid in broadening my parenting Rolodex with new and hopefully better approaches the the struggles my son and I have in our parent/child relationship."
